User Experience Design feedback

For my User Experience Design unit I have received an overall grade of 2:1 which I am happy with, as I have really worked hard to produce the work to high standards.

Term one was a project about Stagecoach app design which could be accessed at: Stagecoach App

Term two was a recorded  12 minutes presentation about Virgin Pioneers website, working closely with Jonny Evans  at Reason Digital. This presentation included my research and findings of the whole process which were Expert Review,  Guerilla Testing,  Eye Tracking and suggestions of improvements.

I will definitely consider UX as my career option once I graduate.  Watch this space!

Virgin Pioneers- User Experience Design

For my second assignment in User Experience Design unit at university,  I was required to apply a variety of User Experience Design techniques to evaluate and critique Virgin Media Pioneers web interface, making recommendations for improvements and adjustments.

My mentor for this project was Jonny Evans  who is Head of Design & UX at Reason Digital, based in Manchester. He has given me exceptional advice, tips and knowledge throughout this project around the principles and techniques of User Experience Design.

This project included Expert Review(Cognitive Walkthrough & Heuristic Evaluation), Guerilla Testing, Eye Tracking and Final analysis and summary.(Improvements)

The outcome for this project I was required to do a 12-14 minutes recorded presentation about the process of this project.

Overall, I really enjoyed this project and picked up on alot of skills and knowledge around User Experience Design.

Meeting with Reason Digital (UX)

Today the squad had a meeting with Jonny Evans at Reason Digital to discuss the progress of the UX project for their cilent Virgin Pioneers. The squad discuss the eye tracking feedback collected from the users.

Jonny gave some great advice about how to go about creating improvements for the website (Wireframes), which is the final task of the project.

Once the wireframes are done, then as an individual I need to put all the data together into a recorded 10-14 mins presentation of the whole process, that went on during the project. This includes Cognitive Walkthrough, Heuristics, Guerrilla Testing, Eye Tracking and Improvements. (Wireframes)

Major project(Dissertation) Feedback

I received  my marks back for my final year project. The project has been marked by my supervisor and an external marker. The overall grade I have received was a higher first class. This included the written reports, product(website) and personal meetings.

I am well chuffed, all my hard work paid off!

The major project was done for a digital agency called Mars Spiders, who are based in Central London. This site was built to launch in Russia, currently improvements are being made and the site will be moving onto Mars Spiders Russian domain.

User Experience Design(Eye Tracking)

This week the squad have conducted their final testing method for Virgin Pioneers site, which is Tobii eye tracking. The sessions with five users went smoothly. Tobii is an excellent tool that tracks and records data of how the users are making their way around a product(site).

This enable us, as a group to see any similarity between the users flows and whether they are struggling to do the tasks. The final task is to make an mockup wireframes of improvements of the site, covering the main elements discovered in the usability testing.(Guerrilla and Eye Tracking)

Next week the squad have got a meeting with their mentor Jonny Evans at Reason Digital to discuss the usability testing and feedback they received from the users.

Sass

Part of Agency Ready Unit. One of my self-initiated project was to convert Mars Spiders original CSS to Sass. Coding the website with Sass help to improve productivity and efficiency. Also the loading speed of the site in Sass was much quicker under the 2 seconds barrier.
